Pete Rognli Outdoor-Ed Biogrophy

As an outdoor educator, Pete has led experiential backpacking treks on the Appalachian Trail, canoe country voyages through the Boundary Waters of northern Minnesota, bicycle touring adventures from Seattle to San Francisco and slickrock mountain bike trips through Colorado and Utah. He has served as the Program Director for large, experiential- based programs for teenagers, both in inner-city Brooklyn and rural Minnesota. He has taught English as a second language in Slovenia and New York City. A hands-on teacher of group dynamics, Pete has led initiative games, team building activities, and high ropes course challenges to various groups across the country.   Pete lives in Jackson Hole, Wyoming where he oversees Internet marketing and Pacific Northwest operations for Wilderness Ventures, an outdoor adventure travel organization for teenagers. He also writes about recreation fitness and culture for several outdoor magazines and spends a lot of time riding his bike through snowdrifts.
